Herbs and Spices

Herbal Enhancement is one of the oldest forms of health care known to humankind. Herbs history is dated back to written records of ancient worlds and cultures. Herbal application has such a powerful influence on people; herbs are used in numerous of cuisine, alternative medicine therapies, religious and spiritual ceremonies. Traditionally, herbs have been used for body, mind and spiritual elevation for men and women preparing for marriage, procreation, and even death. Many have experienced the treatment of herbal remedies and application with an integrative medical physician, naturopath, Orthomolecular medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda.

 

Records of Africans, Native Americans, Europeans and Semitic people medical practice revealed that herbs were used to cure every known illness. The usages of herbal deliverance are reflecting each other of ancient and contemporary times. Acacia

Acacia has a value in culinary and for medicinal purposes. A fiber that is identified as gum acacia, a soluble fiber that has been used for certuries. Acacia is a genus of shrubs and trees descendant to the subfamily flowering plant that is referred as Mimosoideae, and Mimosoideae is in the family of Fabaceae or Leguminosae. The first description was in Africa by the Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus in 1773. Acacia is indigenous to Senegal, West Africa and Sudan, North Africa. There are Australian species and they are not thorny as the many non-Australian species. The pod-bearing plant carries sap and leaves that are used as pharmaceuticals and preservatives, because of the enormous amounts of tannins and condensed tannins.
Acacia fiber and powder

When one is detoxifying, acacia fiber is an herb that would be considered by many because it is known to push out harmful toxins that accumulate in the digestive tract; This done by the fibers absorbing the toxins and releasing those toxins through the digestive process. Acacia has been testified by people that use this plant as having properties that raise HDL ( good cholesterol). If you are feeling hunger, this this hunger, this herb will trigger a hormone call CCK, a hormone that communicates with the brain and body stop eating when you are full. It is known to have various of medicinal healing properties. In Ayurvedic Medicine, the herb is used as a stool softener, to aid to relieve pressure in the veins, the herbal concentration brings the veins to return to their normal state. Issues with the bowel like It irritable bowel syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome is a condition that causes abdominal cramping, bloating, constipation diarrhea and discomfort. The leaves are used to expel intestinal worms.

 

Another good aspect that acacia has been used to clear skin disorders; eg. Acne, eczema, and pimple. Acacia powder can be used as an astringent, the powder is made from the ground bark of the acacia tree. It is known to smooth skin rashes and reduce inflammation on the skin, relieve hemorrhoids and bed sores. The powder taken orally has also been known to be taken for respiratory, urinary and digestive infections and to treat sore throats and infections from the mouth.

Alfalfa Flower

Alfalfa- The root, seed and leaves have been used for more than 1,500 years. Its medicinal properties have been admired and used ancient Chinese’s medicines and in Ayurvedic medicine. Research as shown that many Ancients, traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic physicians prepared and administrated the young alfalfa leaves to treat disorders related to the digestive tract and the kidneys. Even today this plant is raved for its medicinal wonders, a plant that is deliberated as having diuretic, antipyretic and hemostatic actions. Alfalfa is known to be used for kidney, bladder and prostate conditions that assist in increasing urine flow. 

The other medical assistance is for arthritis, asthma, bleeding disorders, diabetes, high cholesterol, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid and stomach disorders. As mentioned alfalfa has been used for blood disorders like thrombocytopenic purpura. Alfalfa is another source of protein that one could add to a smoothie or to one’s favorite fruit or vegetable juice. Agrimony

Agrimonia, commonly known as agrimony, is a genus of 12–15 species of perennial herbaceous flowering plants in the family Rosaceae, native to the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, with one species also in Africa. The species grow to between 0.5–2 m tall, with interrupted pinnate leaves, and tiny yellow flowers borne on a single (usually unbranched) spike.

Agrimony is a plant that is found abundantly , on hedge-banks and the sides of fields, in dry thickets and on all waste places. It is use much in home or folk remedies. A plant the is associated in the rose plant family, this plant bloom from June to early September.

 

This plant is used for aliments  related to live, bile, gastrointestinal and respiratory tact. It is also used for sore throat, upset stomach, mild diarrheairritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diabetesgallbladder disorders, fluid retention, tuberculosis, bleeding, corns, and warts; and as a gargle, heart tonic, sedative, and antihistamine.

 

Agrimony is applied directly to the skin as a mild drying agent (astringent) and for mild skin redness and swelling (inflammation). Some chemicals taken from agrimony are used to fight viruses.
Agrimony contains chemicals called tannin and a volatile essential oil. An astringent action, and frequently used in alternative medicine as an herbal mouthwash and gargle ingredient, and is applied externally in the form of a lotion to minor sores and ulcers. Agrimony has also been recommended, as a strong decoction, to cure sores, blemishes, and pimples.

 

 

Bacopa Bacopa monnieri

Ayurvedic Medicine-

is used in an ancient traditional India medicine called Ayurveda. It has a common name called Brahmi and relates to both Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) and Bacopa monniera. This plant Bacopa is acknowledged as a wonder herb to aid the brain with mental clarity and function, improve focus and concentration in enhancing the brain to retain information. Bacopa is considered in use when stimulating the brain while the heart and nervous system remain soothed and calm. Its has the ability to help reduce stress, anxiety, and symptoms of depression, according the Ayurveda system.

AThis plant/herb is not a central nervous system stimulant, but it does enhance energy. Bacopa may help with weight loss, slow thyroid function, and asthma. The most effective use is extract in a capsule and/or tincture. When used with a combination of other herbs, such as Tulsi (Holy Basil) and Hawthorn is used in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The antioxidant properties in Bacopa help improve blood circulation to the brain. Beyond mental clarity, Bacopa has shown to assist with emotional disturbances, Alzheimer’s disease and amnesia. It also has known to promote hair growth, strengthen and making the hair and the root of the hair become healthy.
